Orlando Ladybug

Draw a crate label

Florida crate labels used a double-rule oval, a harvest plant, and a hunter. Draw Orlando Ladybug in the oval with a Central Florida plant — zinnia, pentas, citrus blossom, dill, tomato, okra, or pepper. Stay in ink or colored pencil. Do not paste clipart stickers. The drawing is art for the journal; the insect in a real yard is still named from UF/IFAS, not from this oval.

  1. Write Orlando Ladybug on the rim or on a ribbon across the oval.
  2. Draw one plant that actually grows in Orange, Seminole, or Osceola.
  3. Draw the beetle as a hunter on that plant, oval and bright.
